The Resource Manager has access to a real-time view of all forecasted and allocated resource requirements within Precursive Plan.
This allows resources to be smartly matched to projects based on skills, language, location etc. The real-time resource view allows managers to be able to hire at the correct time, understand where gaps in resources/skills appear and confidently report on data to senior leaders.
A Resource Manager is able to view upcoming and current projects and assign resources to projects and tasks within each project.
However, they will not have a view of the capacity of each resource. Both the number of projects assigned to that resource and how many hours per week they are already allocated, including any upcoming time off.
This will also affect the managers ability to create forecasted hiring plans.
Precursive Plan view is fantastic - it gives me that "nirvana state" of being able to see who is available when and also to find people who can deliver unassigned work on a project.
